That’s a wrap, baby!
Hackney WickED art festival took place now nearly a month ago… it is hard to believe… and there is still so much work to do. Debrief reports, thank yous, image editing, budgets, forward planning, and recruitment of new staff for this ever expanding event… But last Wednesday we all came together to do the final scene of the documentary which had been commissioned by our main sponsor, Open Visor. After filming the general chit chat about what we felt had really worked, hadn’t and our aspirations for 2011 and beyond, I decided to turn the camera on our film crew and see what their experience of shooting the event.. from behind the scenes, to the build up week, the festival itself and the clean up!
Thank you to Andre from Mosquito Productions for his hard work throughout the elongated week and also Abbas, from Open Visor who commissioned this work.
The official documentary will be screened mid/end of October and will be around 45 mins. If you missed this year’s festival, the film will definitely give you a great taster… If anyone has venue ideas for the ‘premiere’ please get in touch with me.
