The name ‘Annamal Productions’ comes from my name, Anna Maloney. The work that is presented on this website is all that represents my projects, my interests and my clients. There are areas such as the blog, which will include areas of inspiration and projects and work that I respect, alongside work that I have produced on behalf of clients.

My background is in events and tourism. I started life as a creative toddler who liked to paint my mum’s feet blue and green in the back garden and excelled at art during my school years. I studied Human Geography at Leeds University, with a keen interest in French and Cultural Geography. After spending some time in France I decided to return to my hometown of Liverpool and to develop my skills as an event manager.

I started work at the Mersey Partnership in 2000, within the Business Tourism team and was tasked with developing and launching the Conference Ambassador Programme. The programme rapidly developed, winning national and international events for the city and significantly booting the local economy. Following which I moved to Liverpool Hope University as Head of Conferences and Events, managing three campuses and related venues and accommodation. Here I attracted the launch of Liverpool European Capital of Culture 2008 Brand, the Northwest Tourism Awards amongst many other large and small scale conferences and events, trebling revenue within three years.

Always developing, I was awarded the exciting challenge to lead a unique strategic partnership between four major tourism organisations for the international promotion of Liverpool 08. Based at VisitBritain in London, I developed and delivered the 5 year integrated marketing communications business plan for 42 overseas offices and the UK, strategically positioning Liverpool 08 as the springboard for the Cultural Olympiad and London 2012 Games resulting in a national campaign ‘Culture 08’.

In 2009, I discovered Hackney WickED Art Festival, which takes place in a small corner of East London Hackney Wick, and was on the outskirts of what was to become the site for London Olympic & Paralympic Games. I took on a role to develop PR and digital communications for the festival and today I am responsible for the overseeing organisation, including strategy development, sponsorship, funding, partnerships and marketing communications, alongside four Associate Directors.

I have also worked on behalf of iconic brands such as the Royal Horticultural Society, the Royal Albert Hall, Liverpool Sound City, Forman’s & Son/Fish Island Riviera, Rose Bruford College of Drama & Theatre, Africa Oyé and Morning Gloryville. I also enjoy teaching yoga and work with the Sivananda Yoga Retreats- Bahamas, London, India & Thailand and the Light Yoga Studio Space.
